It is another excellent example of Appliqué work, where the floral motifs are hand-stitched onto a solid white background. While your previous floral quilt was very colorful and "mod," this one follows a much more traditional, formal aesthetic.
Key Pattern Features:

The Quad-Symmetrical Motif: Each block features four "buds" or "blossoms" radiating from a central diamond-shaped hub. This four-way symmetry is a hallmark of mid-19th-century appliqué quilts, often seen in the Whig Rose or Rose of Sharon families.

Color Palette: The combination of burnt orange, deep plum/magenta, and forest green is a classic "earth tone" palette. This specific trio of colors was very popular in quilts from the late 1800s, though it saw a major revival in the 1970s.

By leaving so much white area, the individual floral motifs become the focal point, giving the quilt a sophisticated, airy feel.

Why the Quilting is Special:

Take a close look at the white background. It features dense, diagonal line quilting (sometimes called "Matchstick" or "Slant" quilting).

This serves two purposes: it makes the quilt very durable by securing the batting tightly, and it creates a gorgeous, rippled texture that makes the flat appliqué flowers appear as if they are "floating" or raised off the surface.

The level of detail in the stitching suggests this was a very high-quality piece intended for a formal bedroom or a special occasion.

Some tanning/minor marks still remains and one block with some fraying in the burgundy. The tiniest of stitches adorn the hand quilting expertise. Estimated from late 1800's. She displays wonderfully, very thin.
